korea trip

alright, as you all know i went to Korea last week. everyone was asking, "hows the trip?" and i replied as i when to batam, according to michelle. eh, how much emotions you want me to have? and you cant expect me to blog about every single day right? haha. there will be stupid, and you will get lost half way through my post. so just a few main points and some pictures.

1-- went to a sauna place, Korean style of course. its also known as jjimjilbang. the place where you watch ppl sleeping around, not that meaning. and cracking hard boiled egg with their head. i got a shock when i went into the women's locker room. because all the ah-ji-ma was naked. and mic was asking me if they have pubic hair. eh, top part is bad enough, how to carry on looking leh?! haha.
mum in the ice room there, which is about 8degrees. there are rooms which goes up to 80degress.
famous egg

2--Jeju is really boring man. travel for a long distance to see waterfall, rocks and mountain. alright, despite being a geog student, i still do not have appreciation for all this. it was raining as well, making things worse...

this is a dragon head.

3-- Korean drama. not only did Korean drama interfere with our life, but also with the life of the locals. my tour guide with 20years of experience was telling us that Nami Island, most known for the neat rows of tree was only heard of after winter sonata. Chuncheon a city in Korea, more famously known as hometown of youzhen gained popularity after winter sonata. the city's economy was said to be lifted after the filming of the show as well.

4--toilet. OMG! freaking clean can. even up in the mountain, you can find really clean toilet.

5--food. the food was ok, but a bit sick as we days pass by there. BBQ and steamboat makes up most meal. once there was a frozen uncut octopus, dumped right into the steamboat. imagine that yourself man! the bbq makes your clothes smelly and you know you have to wear them again. yucks! i love the street food. most things i tried are nice. the spicy rice cake, omelette, steam bao and cinnamon pan cake. nice!i find this aspect almost comparable to hong kong, but i will prefer the later.

6--shopping. if you like shopping in hong kong, you will definitely like korea. eh, their one Namdaemun market is like a few ladies street. this is not counting those shopping malls that goes up to 5-7stories high. myung-dong is like causeway bay or something. boutiques and more boutiques.

7-- not to mention, i when to the Walkerhill casino on my last night there. Eee... almost made it in without a check on my passport. but no, still too young looking. oh oh, talking about this, ppl on tour group thinks that i am only in secondary school. like sec 2/3 la. haha.

alright, thats about all i want to say. picture posting will be another day, as the files are huge.
