it does not make sense to me why smu's ranking is much lower than nus, since its harder to get into smu. probably cause smu intake is much lower. it could also be because smu has less faculty to fight the nus-s and ntu-s. also due to its new-ness. haha. but i the second part make sense with me. smu's graduates are known to get higher starting pay. hopefully, this situation will stay till i graduate. by the way, smu's graduate should get higher pay ok! school fees is so much more expensive.

2) "i would like to share my experience, my GPA is 3.81 and i applied for Accountancy first choice! After 2 weeks of submitting my application, smu called me up for biz mgmt interview, i was quite sad as i thought that my results are not good enough for even an accountancy interview, i went for biz mgmt interview and basically nothing happened.

I got to found out from a few friends that they got called up for accountancy interviews(their results are not as good as mine). Naturally i was pissed, i emailed SMU demanding an explanation to why i wasn't even selected for interview for Accountancy when my results are far better than man friends. They got back to me withing 2 days, and offered me a interview for Accountancy next friday, i went for the interview and 4days later, i got offered from SMU Acc, and i've accepted them =)"

i find this very amusing and scary. luckily it did not happen to me. because i do not know ppl taking the same boat as me. so how am i going to compare and gauge my chances. it also show that we must be more proactive and fight!
